A Legacy of Precision
Sri Gnanamurugan Foundry was established in 1992 in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, and has manufactured grey iron and ductile iron castings for industrial customers ever since. More than thirty years in the same trade has given the business a settled understanding of what makes a casting reliable: controlled metal chemistry, consistent moulding, and inspection that catches problems before a part leaves the works rather than after it reaches the customer.
The foundry operates from a 35,000 sq. ft. facility in the Cosmafan Foundry Cluster at Arasur, producing around 200 tonnes per month. Castings range from 0.5 kg to 650 kg and go to manufacturers in the automotive, pump, textile machinery, agriculture, construction, mining and general engineering sectors, both in India and for export.
Being part of an established foundry cluster matters in practice. Coimbatore has a deep base of pump, motor and textile machinery manufacturing, which means experienced foundry labour, nearby pattern shops and machining capacity, and short supply lines for raw material.

Foundry established
Sri Gnanamurugan Foundry begins operations in Coimbatore, manufacturing grey iron castings for local engineering and pump manufacturers.
Ductile iron added
Production expands beyond grey iron into ductile (SG) iron, opening up higher-strength applications in automotive, agricultural and construction equipment.
Capacity to 200 tonnes/month
Investment in a 750 kW Inductotherm induction furnace and ARPA 300 and ARPA 1300 moulding lines lifts output and consistency.
